From RedditSave to an MP4 file
RapidSave used to be RedditSave and was renamed under the same owner. The redditsave.com address still leads to the same tool.
Reddit-hosted videos separate picture and sound. RapidSave joins them into an MP4 file, a common video format you can play on your device. Reddit's topic forums, called subreddits, are where you find the original post.
From a link to a download
You copy the link through Share on Reddit and paste it into the RapidSave field. Download prepares the result. The Download HD Video button saves the file to your device's download folder.
The result shows the original title, subreddit, host, audio status and size. Its source link takes you back to the post. An external clip must come from a supported host such as RedGIFs, Imgur, Streamable or Giphy. Embedded YouTube videos do not work.
Going straight to the result
You replace reddit.com with redditsave.com in the post address to open its download page. You need no account, and the site publishes no limit on file count or size.
Reddit sometimes limits the service's requests. Reloading after an error can restart file preparation. If the video opens in the browser, a right-click or long press offers a save option.
Ads and donations
RapidSave is free, with no subscription or purchase required to download. Ads on the home and result pages, served by Snigel and Aniview, fund the site alongside voluntary donations. Donate leads to Ko-fi.

Browser shortcuts
Chrome and Firefox extensions add a shortcut to RapidSave from a post. A bookmarklet, a button in your bookmarks bar, opens its download too. You can also mention the u/savevideo bot in Reddit comments to receive a link.
Saving on a phone
On Android, you use the browser. The site's own app still linked in the menu no longer has an available Google Play page. On iPhone, Readdle's Documents app opens the file link and saves it.
