The films behind the stage names
IAFD stands for Internet Adult Film Database. Volunteer editors have continued the work started by Peter van Aarle since 1999. A film comes first: a performer gets an entry when a title featuring them joins the database.
You can trace older credits as well as web scene series. New entries arrive daily, with larger batches when studios submit their archives. The homepage totals give you a sense of the collection without reflecting every addition.
Following a career through IAFD
A performer page brings together aliases, years active, physical details, official links and film credits. You can follow the same actress through changes of stage name.
Dates and colour coding
Years active run from the first to the latest listed non-compilation title. A recent credit does not establish that the performer is still shooting. Web scenes appear in yellow, gay titles in blue and compilations in grey.
Finding two performers together
You can search for two names together and filter the scene notes. A glossary explains the abbreviations. A little over half the films have scene breakdowns, so shared credits can also return performers who never appear in the same scene.
Narrowing your search
Basic search covers names, titles, studios and distributors. Advanced search adds details such as hair colour, birth year and debut year. It also searches partner retailers' catalogues, which include titles not yet entered in the database.
Performer pages use headshots, with links elsewhere for galleries. For identification from a photo, a fan forum such as Adult DVD Talk is a more useful starting point. IAFD does not handle image identification requests.
Free research, separate streaming
You can use IAFD free without an account, funded by banners and commissions on linked purchases. IAFD Premium Streaming is a separate subscription run by Ravana LLC with Adult Empire and renews automatically. You stop future billing through membership management before the renewal date, including on the one-day trial. Viewing continues through the paid term, with no partial refund or video downloads.

Getting credits corrected
Each entry has a Submit Corrections button that sends changes to the editors. You can also propose a missing title from a performer's page.
IAFD keeps accurate profiles after a career ends. Incorrect credits, inaccurate activity dates and legal names can be corrected or removed. Streaming charges appear as EMPIRESTORE.NET on your statement.

EGAFD adds coverage for European cinema. If you want to watch the films you find, the short streaming trial offers an introduction to the video catalogue, with recurring billing to keep in mind.
For filmographies, IAFD is a reference rated five out of five. You can cross-reference credits, find partners and submit corrections to editors. Some films still lack a scene breakdown.
